June 9, 1855, p. 2. Distressing Cruelty. — We learn from an gentleman from Jersey Co., that the eztensive [sic] flouring establishment of F. SCHAFF & Son, situated in the west part of the town of Jerseyville, was destroyed by fire on Tuesday morning, 29th inst., and one of the sons of the senior partner perished in the flames. – Cin. Gaz.
